A raid was conducted on a pirate enclave within the Thorne Straits this afternoon by elements of the 3rd Marines and garnered a wealth of supplies as well as fourteen prisoners after a brief gun battle. Using the element of surprise, the well trained marines used the cover of darkness to infiltrate the small, well hidden base that had been used by various pirates for nearly ten years.
"One threat on shipping is at an end, finally," Captain Martino said, elated at how quickly his unit took the small base. "We caught them with their pants down."
The raid is part of a continuing effort to clean up the remote islands that make up the Wiraal Sea and Orford Sea that have been enjoyed as havens for many outlaws as well as organized criminal groups. Constant patrolling by naval vessels as well as satellite observation has gained little over the years and some believe the criminals have gained an insider into the naval operations in their area or some piece of equipment that has given them an edge.
Further operations will be conducted to root out more enclaves as the hunt continues.

Another small, underground cell was discovered by ISB agents today in the town of Athea. Four men and a young woman were arrested after their communications gear was discovered by a meter man working for the power company. Once the call was made, the officers unveiled another terrorist group with goals to overthrow the king.
"We're striving to keep the integrity of Glova intact and help the King rule safely, without outside distractions," one source stated on condition of anonymity.
