Psychology-

The Tamyrii are strong willed and very proud. Affronts to honor are generally appeased through duels. Every Tamyrii carries a Stago which is a dueling dagger on their person nearly all the time. At any point a person feels slighted he may draw his blade and throw it on the ground at the offender’s feet. If the challenge is met the two will retire to a Vyrune or dueling circle typically located in a central area of a town or in multiple locations in a city. The rules are established (typically to first blood but never to the death) and the two fight. Regardless of the outcome the matter is considered settled. Vengeance is not a word used towards another Tamyrii.

The Tamyrii view sex as a necessary activity to keep their society growing. It is generally accepted that either of the sexes may choose a mate they deem fitting. While women are involved in all the same activities males are as far as work or combat it is the general practice to settle down and raise her family once a female finds a suitable mate. Both sexes are involved in the raising of children but the female is the stronger influence in the younger years. Twins and triplets are not common.

Slavery was a common occurrence among the Tamyrii and still occurs on a limited basis. Slaves can consist of any outsider that might find their way into the region. They have no rights and are considered the property of the ranking noble in the area they are captured. Dishonored individuals may submit themselves to a life of servitude to repay a debt or to save face for their family. If this occurs the debt is considered paid after an agreed upon period of time and the individual is allowed to return to his or her life a free person.
